Winterfest Boat Parade Update
We are approximately 1 week away from the Winterfest Boat Parade. This promises to be a great time with a record turn out. We currently have 23 boats going and 25 rooms reserved.
These are combined numbers for both Palm Cove Yacht Club and Stuart Corinthian Yacht Club.
Bahia Mar has informed us that space is running short, however they still have some boat spaces and rooms available . If you want to register do it now!!
This past week Al Hutko, Rich Pires, Ilan Sebag , and Greg Sosnow met with the Marina manager, Charles Walker.
It was a very successful meeting , I am attaching a map showing the Bahia Mar property and the docks. They have given us a large area right next to the Dockmaster's office that will be roped off for our clubs for a private party (docktails and parade viewing) for both Friday and Saturday evenings. Our plans are to have docktails at 5 pm in this area both evenings. Saturday evening the parade will come by Bahia Mar approx. 6:30pm to 7:00 pm. The area is noted on the map below. We will have a great viewing area. We will be renting tables from Bahia Mar, however you will want to bring folding chairs. Both nights will be BYOB , we are exploring some options on hors d'oeuvres and will advise.
For those that have reserved boat slips the marina has asked the following:
1. Have holding tank pumped prior to arrival. ( it is a busy weekend and they will be limited on pump outs)
2. They have had some personnel changes and the possibility exists they might not have the registration form you sent in and might have to ask for a credit card upon arrival. They will work off a list that I have supplied them.
3. They will do the best they can in keeping all boats together and we all will be on north side or south side dock. Requests to be next to a particular boat will not be honored. We will have slip assignments prior to arrival.
4. Many boats have expressed an interest in going a day early or staying over Sunday night,
These arrangements can be made directly with the Dockmaster's office.
Any questions please feel free to contact me.
Look forward to seeing all at Bahia Mar.
