Blessing of the Fleet
February 8th, Saturday 2020
Our Palm Cove Yacht Club is hosting the 49th Blessing of the Fleet Parade. Come join the fun for this important event that supports Save Our Rivers and RiverKidz.
PARADE - Attention PCYC Captains
Please quickly notify Commodore, Greg Sosnow [email protected], if you are going to attend with your boat. The queue will form shortly after 11:00am with the first boat passing the Review Boat at noon. Look for our lead club boat flying a banner port and starboard with the letter “L”. The last PCYC boat in the queue will fly the banner “LL” on its transom. Monitor VHF 78 for instructions from the command/start boat. Additional details on the parade can be found at www.theblessingofthefleet.com. Let Greg know, if you’re willing to take other members on your boat.
Attention all PCYC members. If you want to hitch a ride on a club members boat, notify Greg. He will try to accommodate your request.
LUNCHEON – Attention all PCYC members
The fun will continue at The Dolphin Bar for lunch at 1pm, immediately following the parade. There is a room reserved just for our group. Please notify Greg Sosnow [email protected], if you are attending along with the number in your party, whether you’re coming by boat or car. There will be separate checks with a 20% gratuity added to your bill.
PASSING THE TROPHY – Attention all PCYC members
On Sunday, February 9, from 4 pm to 6 pm, PCYC will host the PASSING OF THE TROPHY event at our clubhouse. Members from 9 participating local Yacht Clubs will be attending along with community sponsors. Bring your favorite drink (BYOB) and an appetizer/dessert to share. Please notify Debby Brown [email protected], if you plan to attend.
Again this year we will be participating in the BLESSING IF THE FLEET.
Carol Boser accepts Evinrude Trophy as new commodore of 2020 Blessing of the Fleet.
